You seem to always want to lose weight, or your doctor tells you that you need to, so you decide to go on a diet, again. Surfing the internet, you see there are even more diets to choose from, so you pick a new one that looks "right" for you. This time you just know it will work... and it might for a few days, even a week or two. But then, before you know it you find yourself tempted to do the same old things, and the unhealthy habits return. You get discouraged, and it feels like you can never reach that weight goal. If you lost a few pounds, they come back. Sometimes you even gain more. Does this pattern sound familiar? It's common, and it's time to make a change.

Studies* reveal that when used as an adjunct to behavioral counseling, hypnotherapy can be beneficial to long term weight loss. At Mindful Living Hypnotherapy, Julie developed this comprehensive weight management/weight loss program, "Making Peace With Food" incorporating hypnotherapy techniques in order to maximize the potential for success. By itself, hypnosis is not a magic "treatment", and it is unlikely you will lose weight after just one or two sessions (or from listening to a recording a few times). Weight loss requires an effort to change ones eating and exercise patterns, and hypnosis offers a means of support by helping you change at a deeper, subconscious level while learning consciously to change behaviors.

As a Registered Dietitian, Julie developed and directed a Behavior Modification Program for weight loss in a community hospital during her early career. She has combined Hypnotherapy with her hospital counseling experiences and her knowledge and interest in food and nutrition to design this 8 Session program to help you develop a healthy relationship with your body and with food.

During the 8 Sessions, you will more fully understand reasons why you sometimes lose control over food and learn to deal with underlying causes for your behaviors. With Julie's guidance, you will learn about state of the art, sound techniques to use as tools to help you support and encourage yourself. You will learn about healthier food choices and find yourself naturally choosing them. Knowledge is key to transformation and growth. In session, with Julie's support, you can safely bring to the surface unresolved issues that may be affecting your weight so that they can be transformed and lifted.
